About Us​

We take great pride in introducing our ambitiously conceived brainchild SurgiTec Pvt Ltd that was co– founded by two like–minded colleagues, Mr. Janarth Ramakrishna and Mr. Lakshan Nanayakkara.

We began our careers in our early 20s as medical representatives in leading surgical and pharmaceutical companies respectively in Sri Lanka. Equipped with a wealth of expertise and international training over a short span of five years; we bootstrapped our way to courageously start out on our own as young business entrepreneurs.

The year 2008 landmarked the inception of SurgiTec as one of the Surgical Products Market & Distribution Company in Nawala, Sri Lanka. Within the next two years, we were a registered Private Limited Company. Moving forward SurgiTec, in 2014, stepped up into the market with special value–added products by owning the distributorship privileges from Leading Surgical Products Manufacturing Companies across the globe. At this juncture, SurgiTec was a well–established brand for surgical supplies within the domestic market.

By 2016, we had the opportunity to appoint a local company for sub–dealership for some of our products. Yet again in 2020, SurgiTec was progressing to tie up with two other distributors in the North and South regions of the Island in order to cater for adequate supply and after sales service.

Given the global pandemic SurgiTec was still looking for newer avenues and thus in 2021, signed an agreement with a local manufacturer that supplies ECG Ultrasound Gel, Disinfectants, Beauty & Skin Care products. This tie–up would simultaneously cover Sales & Marketing activities alongside distributor dealership for the company.

Our drive focuses on establishing ourselves to become the first choice for all surgical instrument requirements and to deliver products of outstanding quality, with great service, at an affordable price. What we see as our strength is the non–deterring commitment we have towards the healthcare industry in Sri Lanka which enables us to project our work with the highest level of competitive professional practices.

For over 12 years SurgiTec has built and sustained an enviable reputation in the supply of precision surgical instrumentation covering every type of surgical specialty. We have distinguished ourselves as a major leader in redefining the provision of high–quality surgical instruments and have become conspicuously well known for the passion of our people, and partners, in providing unsurpassed levels of service to our customers.
